Lalou's work begins with patient research on egrets, creating numerous sketches based on carefully chosen images to capture the subtle articulation of their necks. This exercise reveals an animal that may initially appear ungainly, but whose elegance gradually becomes apparent to the artist. Thus, nature finds a special place in Lalou's
