Essais this commission was for MarcDesigned primarily as a guide, this book offers, through a series of illustrated itineraries, a discovery of the different periods of architecture in Port Said, a city founded in 1859 by the "Universal Company of the Suez Maritime Canal", on the occasion of the digging of the famous canal. The book also brings together three stories by French and Egyptian authors that help to understand what this city was like in the past and what it could become
