That surface is the closest storage in a cabin that is deliberately short of cubbies. This organizer straps over it and turns the visor into a place for a phone, sunglasses, pens, maps and paperwork and adds the mirror. It measures 6. 5 x 10 in folded and attaches with velcro strips wrapped around the visor, so nothing is drilled, glued or clipped to
