Boehmeria nivea Glow Light Conradina the new foliage is stunning

the new foliage is stunning with a wide golden border around each green-centered leaf

we recommend removing the old foliage in late winter for a better show of the amazingly colored spring foliage

but returns late the next summer when the heat builds

as both an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal treatment

but it's pretty darn hairy

Boehmeria nivea Glow Light Conradina the new foliage is stunningIf you have a woodland garden, and could use a ray of figurative sunshine, Boehmeria 'Glow Light' is for you. This amazing, bright gold foliaged deciduous perennail eventually forms a 2' tall x 4' wide patch of fleshy upright stalks, each clothed in fuzzy leaves. For us, Boehmeria 'Glow Light' has thrived in half day sun as well as light shade. The fuzzy, tan, pipe cleaner like flowers that adorn the upper half of the plant in summer are well, unusual.
