Constructed of silvered bronze; the obverse depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons superimposed on a cross; the reverse inscribed Medaille fr Deutsche Volkspflege (Medal for German Social Welfare); on a loop for suspension from its correct replacement ribbon; measuring 38. 01 mm in diameter; weighing 24. 3 grams; in overall very fine condition.
