ABERDEEN (MODERN) - Tartans beginning with 'F' Too bright for his use16oz Premium District Tartan This is said to be one of the oldest of the tartans produced by Wilsons of Bannockburn, mentioned in an order in June 1794. They apparently produced it during the days of prohibition (1746 1782). This is from the threadcount documented in Jamie Scarlett MBE's 'Tartan the Highland Textile' (1990). He took the count from a manuscript account book in the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. Made to order: 1 2 weeks
