TRAMPER #1 sunrise Alaskan artist Laura Mendola's kilnPrint size: 17" x 11" This is a freight ship from the time before shipping containers, when thousands of hand loaded vessels roamed the oceans, some of them buying up goods in port and seeking markets for them in distant lands. Those vessels were known as tramp steamers, and there are still some in operation today.
